Watermelon Smoothie

Hi Everyone!

Summer is at its peak in Goa. I have combined together some of these super-foods to get a healthy drink for summer.
Yogurt packed with healthiest bacteria is known for improving the immune system and to get a natural glow for your skin along with many other benefits.
Watermelon on the other hand is preferred by almost everybody to quench the thirst. It helps to keep you hydrated and reduce inflammation.
And Banana as you all know, gives you energy.

Here is a Watermelon Smoothie recipe I prepared to enjoy the evening.

Ingredients:

  • Watermelon chunks - 4 cups 
  • Banana - 2 to 3 small size 
  • Ice cubes - 1 cup 
  • * Vanilla yogurt - 1 1/4 cup 
  • * Raspberry syrup for sweetness & color  


Servings = 4
1 cup = 200 ml

Method:

  • Add watermelon and banana and blend until smooth and no chunks remain. 
  • Then add yogurt and raspberry syrup and blend till smooth. 
  • (You can add ice cubes and blend or add later while serving.) 
  • Serve it chilled with ice cubes. 




* If you don't like yogurt, then replace it with milk.
* As the watermelon I got was not very sweet and didn't have the red blood color, I used Raspberry syrup for sweetness and to get the color. I recommend using sugar instead of syrup but it is completely optional.
