What inspired me to write today was the quote “Write to Express, Not to Impress”. I was randomly reading a few articles yesterday when I came across an article which explained why we should write to express.
Today when I woke up, I thought of doing something different which I had not done before. “Poached Egg!” - is what came to my mind. I am not a cooking fan but when it comes to trying some new recipes which are easy and quick, I like to give a try.
And this what I came up with….
All I used was a pan, water, salt, egg, toast, pepper powder and lettuce leaves for garnishing.
Here is the recipe

How I presented it to myself?
Place the egg on toasted bread. Sprinkle pepper powder and salt. Add lettuce leaves and give a slight cut to the egg yolk.

A lovely breakfast to kick-start my day.
All I used was a pan, water, salt, egg, toast, pepper powder and lettuce leaves for garnishing.
Here is the recipe
Ingredients:
- Egg
- Pinch of salt
- Water - I filled water in pan till ⅓ of my index finger
- Toasted bread
Garnishing:
- Pinch of pepper powder
- Lettuce leaves cut finely
Directions:
- Add water in pan and turn on flame
- Add salt as per your taste
- Once you notice tiny bubbles on the pan surface, break an egg and pour it gently in the water. (Make sure that the flame is not too high.)
- Let it cook on low to medium flame. After a minute or two, try to lift the egg gently if it is stuck to the pan.
- Once done, remove it from the water and keep it aside to drain.

Interesting :-) ..I will try for sure..
ReplyDeleteTry adding vinegar in the water and when you serve the egg, pour little extra virgin olive oil. This will add to the flavors. I will try this next time.
